Eric Asimov is the chief wine critic for The New York Times, a position he has held since 2004. A graduate of Wesleyan University, he began his career at the Times in 1984 and later created the popular "$25 and Under" restaurant review column, which he wrote until 2004. He is the author of the books How to Love Wine: A Memoir and Manifesto and Wine With Food: Pairing Notes and Recipes, and he is the nephew of author Isaac Asimov.
